Enoxacin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) INHIBITORS — the group Green Tea interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might increase the levels and adverse effects of caffeine.
Green tea contains caffeine. Caffeine is metabolized by cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2),. Theoretically, drugs that inhibit CYP1A2 may decrease the clearance rate of caffeine from green tea and increase caffeine levels.

Here's the thing about pairing green tea with Enoxacin: this antibiotic is one of the stronger blockers of an enzyme called CYP1A2, which is the same enzyme your liver uses to clear caffeine. Green tea naturally contains caffeine, so while you're on Enoxacin, that caffeine can hang around longer and build up more than usual.

In real life, that might mean you feel the caffeine more than expected, think jitteriness, a racing heart, trouble sleeping, or an upset stomach. This is a theoretical concern based on how the drug works, not something proven in studies, so don't panic. A cup or two probably won't cause much, but concentrated green tea extracts or lots of caffeine could. If you notice these symptoms, check in with your pharmacist or doctor.

Enoxacin also falls under ORGANIC ANION-TRANSPORTING POLYPEPTIDE SUBSTRATES (OATP).

Theoretically, green tea might reduce the absorption of organic anion-transporting polypeptide (OATP) substrates.
OATPs are expressed in the small intestine and liver and are responsible for the uptake of drugs and other compounds. Research shows that two of the major catechins found in green tea, epicatechin gallate (ECG) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), inhibit OATPs, specifically OATP1A2, OATP1B1, and OATP2B1. In addition, green tea has been shown to reduce the absorption of some drugs that are OATP substrates, including lisinopril, and celiprolol.

Here's the gist with enoxacin (an antibiotic in the same family as ciprofloxacin) and green tea. The catechins in green tea, especially EGCG, can block transport proteins called OATPs that help certain drugs get absorbed from your gut. In theory, that could mean less enoxacin actually makes it into your bloodstream, which matters because an antibiotic that doesn't reach a high enough level may not clear your infection as well.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is: it comes mostly from lab and animal studies, and it hasn't been proven specifically for enoxacin in people. A cup or two of tea is probably no big deal, but concentrated green tea extract is a different animal. To play it safe, try not to wash this antibiotic down with green tea, and run your supplements past your pharmacist or doctor.
