Here's the quick picture with alteplase (tPA). This is a powerful clot-busting medicine given in the hospital for emergencies like a stroke, heart attack, or a large blood clot in the lungs. Its main risk is bleeding, since it actively breaks down clots. Some lab research suggests indole-3-carbinol may make platelets a little less sticky, which in theory could add to that bleeding risk.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's theoretical, based only on test-tube studies, not real patients. Also, alteplase is something you'd only get from a medical team in a crisis, so they would already be watching you closely. If you take I3C supplements, just mention it to your doctor or pharmacist so it's on your record.
