Theoretically, indole-3-carbinol might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro research shows that indole-3-carbinol inhibits platelet aggregation.

Here's the thing about Inotersen (Tegsedi): it already carries its own risk of lowering your platelets, sometimes quite seriously, which is why your doctor checks your blood counts regularly. So bleeding is something to take seriously with this drug on its own.

Now, indole-3-carbinol showed in lab dish studies that it can make platelets a little less sticky. Stacked on top of Inotersen, the theory is you could bruise or bleed more easily. I'll be honest with you though, this is only early test-tube research, not proven in real people, and the amount you'd get from eating broccoli is unlikely to matter. Concentrated supplements are the concern. Given Inotersen's platelet effects, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.
