Mephenytoin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Ipriflavone interacts with.

Ipriflavone is thought to competitively inhibit cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9). Theoretically, concurrent use of ipriflavone and drugs metabolized by these enzymes might result in decreased drug elimination, increased serum levels, and potential toxicity. Some drugs metabolized by CYP2C9 include amitriptyline (Elavil), diazepam (Valium), estradiol (Estrace), tacrine (Cognex), verapamil (Calan), warfarin (Coumadin), zileuton (Zyflo), and others.

Here's the gist for mephenytoin (Mesantoin), an older seizure medicine. Your body clears it partly through a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Ipriflavone is thought to slow that enzyme down, so in theory mephenytoin could leave your system a little more slowly and build up to higher levels. With more drug hanging around, you might notice more of its typical side effects, things like drowsiness, dizziness, unsteady walking, blurred or double vision, or slurred speech.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it comes from lab studies only, not real patients, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Still, because mephenytoin doesn't have much wiggle room, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and don't change anything on your own.
