Here's the simple version: this combo product contains hydrocodone, an opioid pain reliever that can make you drowsy or slow your breathing. The concern with jackfruit is that its seeds might add to that sleepy effect. So in theory, the two together could leave you feeling more tired, foggy, dizzy, or sluggish than the medicine alone.

I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is. The worry comes only from animal studies on jackfruit seeds, not people, and eating jackfruit as a normal food is very unlikely to cause any problem. Concentrated seed supplements are the real question mark. If you're taking Damason-P and want to use jackfruit products, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Theoretically, jackfruit latex might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Jackfruit latex, which is the sap from jackfruit bark, contains chemicals that might increase the risk of bleeding. In vitro research shows that jackfruit latex contains a glycoprotein constituent that prolongs the activated partial thrombin time (aPTT) and reduces the activity of blood coagulation factors XIa and alpha-XIIa. Jackfruit latex also contains a protease constituent that has been shown to have fibrinolytic activity in vitro. Other parts of jackfruit, including the fruit and leaves, have not been shown to contain chemicals with fibrinolytic and anticoagulant activity.

This combo product contains aspirin, which already thins the blood a bit by reducing how well your platelets stick together. The concern here is theoretical: lab studies show that jackfruit latex (the sticky sap from the bark, not the fruit you eat) contains compounds that can slow clotting. Stacked on top of aspirin, that could in theory raise your risk of bleeding, things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach bleeding.

Here's the reassuring part: the everyday fruit, seeds, and leaves have not shown this clotting effect, and the evidence so far is only from test tubes, not people. So eating jackfruit as a food is very unlikely to be a problem. If you're considering a concentrated jackfruit supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
