Insulin Degludec falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jackfruit interacts with.

Theoretically, jackfruit might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Small clinical studies show that jackfruit flour and leaf extract can reduce fasting and postprandial blood glucose. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Here's the simple version: jackfruit itself can gently lower blood sugar. A few small studies found that concentrated jackfruit flour or leaf extract reduced fasting and after-meal glucose. Since Tresiba (insulin degludec) already lowers your blood sugar, stacking the two could push it down further than you want.

If that happens, you might feel the usual signs of a low: shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or confusion. Keep in mind this concern is theoretical, based on how the fruit behaves, not strong human proof. Eating jackfruit as a regular food is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated supplements are where I'd be more careful. If you want to use those, check your sugars closely and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before changing any insulin dose.

What Is Insulin Degludec (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tresiba

Insulin degludec (brands: Insulin Degludec, Tresiba) is indicated to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in patients 1 year of age and older with diabetes mellitus — both type 1 and type 2.

It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous complication where acids build up in the blood). In patients with type 1 diabetes, it must be used together with a short-acting insulin.
