Alogliptin, Pioglitazone falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jambolan interacts with.

Animal research shows that jambolan seed and bark extracts can lower blood glucose levels. Theoretically, jambolan might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Oseni combines two diabetes medicines: alogliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor) and pioglitazone (which helps your body use insulin better). Both work to bring your blood sugar down. Here's the thing about jambolan: in animal studies, the seed and bark extracts also seemed to lower blood sugar. So if you take a concentrated jambolan supplement alongside Oseni, the two could stack up and push your numbers lower than expected.

If that happens, you might notice signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling suddenly tired. To be fair, this is based on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Eating the fruit as food is unlikely to matter much. If you want to try a supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your glucose readings.
