Ertugliflozin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jambolan interacts with.

Animal research shows that jambolan seed and bark extracts can lower blood glucose levels. Theoretically, jambolan might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the simple version: jambolan may gently lower blood sugar on its own, mostly seen in animal studies. Your ertugliflozin (Steglatro) already lowers blood sugar by helping your kidneys flush extra glucose out in your urine. Stack the two together and the effects could add up, so your numbers might drop lower than expected.

If that happens, you could feel signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or a sudden headache. To be clear, this concern is mostly theoretical, and eating the fruit as food is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated seed or bark supplements are the bigger question mark. If you want to try one, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your readings.
