Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen
Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Jambolan interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo product pairs ibuprofen with acetaminophen (Tylenol). The ibuprofen half is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In a lab test (not in people), jambolan seemed to slow that enzyme down. The thinking is that if jambolan blocks CYP2C9, your body might clear ibuprofen a little more slowly, letting it build up. With ibuprofen, more buildup could mean a higher chance of stomach upset, heartburn, ulcers, or effects on the kidneys or blood pressure.
Honestly though, this is theoretical and based only on test-tube data, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Eating the fruit is unlikely to matter; concentrated supplements are the bigger question mark. If you take jambolan capsules regularly, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen page
“Advil Dual Action pairs ibuprofen, an NSAID with built-in stomach-bleeding risk, and acetaminophen, which the liver processes, so this interaction list deserves a careful read, not a skim. Most of the entries can add to bleeding risk, while smaller clusters put extra strain on the liver or kidneys.”

About Jambolan
What is Jambolan?
- Blood sugar support
- Digestive upset and diarrhea
- Sore throat and mouth health
- Antimicrobial
- General antioxidant support
Jambolan (Syzygium cumini), also called Java plum or black plum, is a tropical fruit tree traditionally used for blood sugar and digestive complaints. Human evidence for these uses is limited and not strong, so it should not replace proven treatments like diabetes medication. The fruit is safe as food, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements.
