Here's the concern with pairing Sida cordifolia and Adagrasib (Krazati). Adagrasib, a cancer medicine used for certain lung cancers, is already known to lengthen something called the QT interval, which is a measure of your heart's electrical rhythm. Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine, a stimulant that can do the same thing. Stack the two together and you may get an additive effect that nudges your heart toward an abnormal rhythm.

This isn't a drug-breakdown issue; it's two things tugging on your heart in the same direction. Possible warning signs include a racing or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, or fainting. The evidence here is partly theoretical, but the risk is taken seriously. Please don't start Sida cordifolia without first checking with your oncologist or pharmacist.

Sida cordifolia (bala or country mallow) is a traditional Ayurvedic plant that naturally contains ephedrine, a powerful stimulant. Because of this, many supplements containing it have been banned or restricted, and it carries real risks to the heart and blood pressure. There is little reliable human evidence that it works, so most people should avoid it and talk with a pharmacist or doctor first.

About Adagrasib

What Is Adagrasib Used For?

Brand name: Krazati

Krazati (adagrasib) is used to treat adults with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that carries a specific genetic change called a KRAS G12C mutation. It is used as a single agent for NSCLC after at least one prior treatment, and patients must be confirmed to have this mutation by an FDA-approved test.

Krazati is also used in combination with another drug called cetuximab to treat adults with KRAS G12C-mutated locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) who have already been treated with specific prior chemotherapy regimens. Both uses were approved under the FDA's accelerated approval program based on tumor response data, and continued approval may depend on results from confirmatory trials.
