Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.

Here's the thing to know about this combination. Your Vicks Formula 44D already contains phenylephrine, which is a decongestant that narrows blood vessels and can nudge your blood pressure up. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, another stimulant that speeds up the heart and raises blood pressure too. Stack two stimulants together and those effects can add up.

What that could feel like is a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, headache, trouble sleeping, or a noticeable rise in blood pressure. This concern is based on how these ingredients work rather than hard studies, but because both push in the same direction, I'd treat it seriously, especially if you have heart issues or high blood pressure. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
