Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.

Here's the thing about pairing Sida cordifolia with a product like Sudafed Cold/Flu: the supplement naturally contains ephedrine, which is a stimulant, and your cold medicine contains pseudoephedrine, which is also a stimulant. Stacking two stimulants together can pile on the same effects, like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and most importantly a noticeable rise in blood pressure.

This concern is based on how these ingredients work rather than hard clinical studies, so it's considered theoretical. Still, it's rated as a major concern for good reason, especially if you have high blood pressure or any heart history. The dextromethorphan part isn't the issue here. I'd skip the Sida cordifolia and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
