Omeprazole, Sodium Bicarbonate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Turkey Tail Mushroom interacts with.

Theoretically, the polysaccharide peptide (PSP) component of turkey tail mushroom might inhibit CYP2C9.
Laboratory research suggests that the PSP component of turkey tail mushroom dose-dependently inhibits CYP2C9. Theoretically, taking PSP with drugs metabolized by CYP2C9 might increase drug levels and the risk of adverse effects. However, this has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with this pairing. Omeprazole (the active ingredient in Konvomep, combined with sodium bicarbonate) is a stomach acid reducer, and your body partly clears it using a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. The PSP compound in turkey tail mushroom has been shown in lab dish studies only to slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let a bit more omeprazole linger in your system, which might nudge up side effects like headache, nausea, gas, or diarrhea.

I want to be honest with you though: this has never actually been reported in real people. It comes from test-tube research, and omeprazole is a pretty forgiving, well-tolerated medicine. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before starting turkey tail, just so they're in the loop.
