Here's the simple version. This isn't about turmeric changing how your blood pressure pill works or making it stronger or weaker. The combo on file is about your liver. Labetalol, on rare occasions, can stress the liver on its own. There have also been reports of concentrated turmeric or curcumin supplements being linked to liver irritation, especially the high-dose, 'highly absorbable' products.

Stacking two things that can each bother the liver is the concern here, though I'll be honest, this is mostly theoretical and based on scattered reports, not strong proof. The turmeric you cook with is not the worry. Watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and check with your pharmacist before starting a turmeric supplement.
