Here's the gist for your combination pill of hydrochlorothiazide and methyldopa (like Aldoril). Methyldopa is one of the blood pressure medicines that can, on rare occasions, irritate the liver. The worry on file is that turmeric, when taken as a concentrated, high-dose supplement, has also been linked to occasional liver trouble. Stacking the two could, in theory, raise that risk a little.

I'll be honest though: this is based on scattered case reports, not strong studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over the turmeric in your curry or rice. The concern is really about strong, highly absorbable curcumin capsules. If you take those, mention it to your doctor so they can keep an eye on your liver labs. Don't change anything on your own.
