Consensi pairs amlodipine (a blood pressure medicine) with celecoxib (for arthritis pain). The piece that matters here is the amlodipine. Ashwagandha may gently lower blood pressure on its own, so taking it alongside amlodipine could add up and push your numbers down a little more than expected.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when standing up quickly. I'll be honest with you though: this concern comes mainly from animal studies, not solid human research, so it's more of a theoretical heads-up than a proven problem. It's still smart to check your blood pressure at home and let your pharmacist or doctor know before adding ashwagandha, rather than changing anything on your own.

Theoretically, ashwagandha might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that ashwagandha extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Consensi combines two medicines: amlodipine (a blood pressure pill) and celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory for pain). Both rely on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to be cleared from your body. In lab dish studies, ashwagandha appeared to speed up that enzyme. In theory, that could lower the levels of both drugs, meaning amlodipine might not control your blood pressure as well and celecoxib might not ease your pain as effectively.

Here's the honest part: this is based only on test-tube research, not real people, and it's rated as a minor, possible interaction. For most folks it likely won't cause a noticeable problem. Still, if you take Consensi and want to try ashwagandha, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your blood pressure.
