Cowhage + Glucose
Glucose brand name: IV Glucose.
Cowhage has a moderate interaction with Glucose. Theoretically, concomitant use of cowhage and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Glucose
Glucose falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cowhage interacts with.
Animal research shows that cowhage might have hypoglycemic effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know with cowhage and glucose. Glucose isn't really a typical diabetes medicine, it's actually sugar that your body uses for energy. In a medical setting, IV glucose is given to raise blood sugar, often to treat a low (hypoglycemia). Cowhage, on the other hand, may gently lower blood sugar, at least based on early animal studies.
So these two pull in opposite directions. In theory, cowhage's sugar-lowering effect could work against glucose meant to bring your levels back up, possibly leaving you with symptoms like shakiness, sweating, or dizziness. That said, this is weak, lab-and-animal-level evidence, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just mention it to your doctor or pharmacist if you use both.

This page covers Cowhage only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Glucose page lists 256 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Siberian Cocklebur (major), Acai (moderate), African Wild Potato (moderate) and Agaricus Mushroom (moderate).
By severity: 2 major · 215 moderate · 39 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glucose page
“Glucose given by IV raises a dangerously low blood sugar, and this list warrants real caution because most of its 256 ingredients pull the other way. Nearly all of them lower blood sugar on their own, working against the treatment and setting up another crash.”

About Cowhage
What is Cowhage?
- Parkinson's disease symptoms
- Male fertility and libido
- Mood and stress support
- Traditional aphrodisiac
- General energy and vitality
Cowhage (Mucuna pruriens) is a tropical legume best known as a natural source of L-dopa, the compound the body turns into dopamine. It is most studied for Parkinson's disease symptoms and male fertility, but evidence is still limited and the L-dopa content makes it potentially powerful and risky—talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using it.

Glucose Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glucose as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Cowhage — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
