Here's the gist with Dendrobium and hydrocodone. One natural compound in dendrobium, called dendrobine, has been reported to act as a convulsant, meaning it may make seizures a little more likely. Hydrocodone, like other narcotic pain relievers, can itself lower the seizure threshold a bit, especially at higher doses. Put the two together and, in theory, you could nudge that risk upward.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this concern is theoretical and comes from how these substances behave, not from real-world reports in people. For most folks it likely won't cause a problem. Still, since hydrocodone is a strong opioid used around the clock, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
