Here's the deal with Yosprala, which pairs aspirin with omeprazole. The omeprazole part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C19. In a test-tube setting, devil's claw appeared to slow that enzyme down a bit. If that held true in people, omeprazole could build up slightly, meaning a touch more acid-blocking effect than expected. That's not really a dangerous change, and omeprazole is generally well tolerated.

The important thing to know is that this is only lab evidence, not something seen in actual patients. So for most folks, taking devil's claw with Yosprala isn't likely to cause real trouble. I'd still give your pharmacist a quick heads-up, mostly because devil's claw may have its own mild effect on bleeding, and you're already on aspirin.

Here's the gist with Yosprala (the combined aspirin and omeprazole pill) and devil's claw. Lab studies hint that devil's claw might slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, which helps clear certain drugs. If that enzyme runs slower, a bit more aspirin could linger in your system. With aspirin, the main thing on my radar is bleeding risk, things like easy bruising, stomach upset, or, less commonly, dark stools. Devil's claw itself may also nudge bleeding risk slightly.

That said, this is purely a theoretical, test-tube finding and hasn't been shown in real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since you're on this for heart protection, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding devil's claw.

Here's the deal with Yosprala (that's aspirin plus omeprazole) and devil's claw. The omeprazole part is handled in part by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In a test tube, devil's claw appeared to slow that enzyme down, which in theory could let omeprazole build up a little higher than usual. If that happened, you might notice slightly more of its usual effects, like headache or some stomach upset. The aspirin component isn't really cleared this way, so it's mostly the omeprazole side we're talking about.

I want to be honest though: this is only lab and animal data, and it has never been shown to actually happen in people. So for most folks this is a small, theoretical concern. Still, since devil's claw can affect bleeding and aspirin thins the blood, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
