Here's the big picture: this combination product packs two ingredients that already slow your brain and breathing. Codeine is an opioid pain reliever, and methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant. Both calm down nerve activity and can make you drowsy. GHB does the exact same thing, only much more powerfully. Stacking them together means the sedating effects pile up.

That added sedation is the worry here. You could see deep drowsiness, confusion, very slow or shallow breathing, and in serious cases, loss of consciousness or stopped breathing. The evidence behind this warning is anecdotal, but the risk is real and potentially life-threatening, so I wouldn't take chances. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining these, and never use non-prescription GHB.

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is a powerful central nervous system depressant that is NOT a safe dietary supplement. In the U.S. it is a controlled substance, and only a tightly regulated prescription form (sodium oxybate) is legal for narcolepsy. Non-prescription GHB can cause coma, breathing failure, and death, and it is also a known 'date-rape' drug — it should not be taken outside of medical supervision.
