The piece of Synalgos DC I want to focus on here is the dihydrocodeine, which is an opioid pain reliever. Like other opioids, it slows down your breathing and makes you drowsy. GHB is also a strong central nervous system depressant. When you stack these two together, those calming, slowing effects don't just add up, they can pile on top of each other in a dangerous way.

The real worry is severe sedation and slowed or stopped breathing. You could become very hard to wake, breathe shallowly, or stop breathing entirely, which can be fatal. The caffeine in this product won't reliably protect you from that. Honestly, non-prescription GHB isn't safe to use at all, but combining it with an opioid like this makes the danger much worse. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything like this.

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is a powerful central nervous system depressant that is NOT a safe dietary supplement. In the U.S. it is a controlled substance, and only a tightly regulated prescription form (sodium oxybate) is legal for narcolepsy. Non-prescription GHB can cause coma, breathing failure, and death, and it is also a known 'date-rape' drug — it should not be taken outside of medical supervision.
