Goji + Olmesartan Medoxomil
Olmesartan Medoxomil brand names: Olmesartan Medoxomil, Benicar.
Goji has a moderate interaction with Olmesartan Medoxomil. Theoretically, concomitant use of goji root bark, but not goji fruit, with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Olmesartan Medoxomil
Olmesartan Medoxomil falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Goji interacts with.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that goji root bark has hypotensive effects. However, goji fruit juice does not appear to reduce systolic or diastolic blood pressure in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: olmesartan (Benicar) already lowers your blood pressure, and there's a theory that goji could nudge it down a little further. The catch is that this concern comes from the root bark of the goji plant, not the goji berries (fruit) most people eat or take as a supplement. In fact, studies looking at goji fruit juice in people did not show any meaningful drop in blood pressure.
So if you're enjoying goji berries or fruit supplements, the risk here is mostly theoretical and based on lab and animal work, not real human results. Still, if your pressure runs on the low side, watch for dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint, especially when standing up. Don't change your olmesartan on your own. If you want to add a concentrated goji product, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Olmesartan Medoxomil page
“Olmesartan medoxomil (Benicar) lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, and nearly everything on this page, 119 of the 136 ingredients, pulls on that same lever, deepening the drop or working against it. Four entries rate major, which is why this list deserves genuine care rather than a quick skim.”
