Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Gymnema interacts with.

Theoretically, taking gymnema with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Gymnema reduces blood glucose levels in some human and animal research. In human studies, it has been shown to enhance the blood glucose lowering effects of hypoglycemic drugs. However, other research in adults with prediabetes or metabolic syndrome suggests that gymnema does not reduce fasting levels of blood glucose. Until more is known, monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Trulicity (dulaglutide) and Gymnema: both of them can push your blood sugar down. Dulaglutide already lowers blood sugar by helping your body release insulin when you eat, and Gymnema may add a little extra glucose-lowering on top. When you stack two things that work in the same direction, you can sometimes go too low.

That means watching for signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or a fast heartbeat. The evidence here is mixed and partly theoretical, so it isn't a guaranteed problem, but it's worth respecting. If you'd like to try Gymnema, check your blood sugar more closely at first and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
