Rolapitant Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Jequirity interacts with.

In vitro research shows that jequirity extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Theoretically, taking jequirity may inhibit the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.

First things first: jequirity isn't a supplement you should be taking at all. Its seeds contain abrin, a potent poison in the same family as ricin, so the safety concern here goes way beyond any drug interaction. Please don't use it.

On the interaction itself, your rolapitant (Varubi) is processed by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In a lab dish, jequirity extract slowed that enzyme down. In theory, blocking it could let rolapitant build up a bit, which might mean more of its usual effects like tiredness, dizziness, decreased appetite, or hiccups. But this is only test-tube evidence, the interaction is rated minor and unlikely, and rolapitant is given as a single dose. Bottom line: skip jequirity entirely, and check with your pharmacist or doctor with any questions.
