Azilsartan, Chlorthalidone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Limonene interacts with.

There's preliminary evidence that limonene might be a substrate for cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9), as well causing its induction. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. However, watch for a decrease in the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9 in patients taking limonene. Some drugs metabolized by CYP2C9 include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as diclofenac (Cataflam, Voltaren), ibuprofen (Motrin), meloxicam (Mobic), and piroxicam (Feldene); celecoxib (Celebrex); amitriptyline (Elavil); warfarin (Coumadin); glipizide (Glucotrol); losartan (Cozaar); and others.

Edarbyclor combines azilsartan (a blood pressure pill in the ARB family) with chlorthalidone (a water pill). The piece worth knowing here is that azilsartan is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Limonene, in lab and animal studies only, looks like it might speed that enzyme up. If that happened in people, your body could clear azilsartan a little faster, which in theory might soften its blood pressure lowering effect.

I want to be clear: this has never actually been seen in humans, and food amounts of citrus or limonene almost certainly do not matter. Concentrated limonene supplements are the only real question mark. If you take one regularly, just keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings and mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.
