Limonene + rosiglitazone, glimepiride
rosiglitazone, glimepiride brand name: Avandaryl.
Limonene has a moderate interaction with rosiglitazone, glimepiride. There's preliminary evidence that limonene might be a substrate for cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9), as well causing its induction.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to rosiglitazone, glimepiride
rosiglitazone, glimepiride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Limonene interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Your Avandaryl combines two diabetes medicines, and both rosiglitazone and glimepiride lean on a liver enzyme called CYP2C9 to be cleared from your body. The thinking here is that concentrated limonene supplements might speed up (induce) that enzyme. If that happened, your body could clear these medicines a little faster, which might soften their blood-sugar-lowering power and let your readings creep up.
Here's the reassuring part: this is only seen in lab and animal studies, not in real people, so it's a theoretical concern rather than a proven one. Citrus you eat won't matter. If you're using limonene capsules and take Avandaryl, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up and keep an eye on your blood sugar.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the rosiglitazone, glimepiride page
“Siberian cocklebur worries me most on this page. Its seeds have caused severe, worsening drops in blood sugar in people, and rosiglitazone with glimepiride (Avandaryl) already pulls glucose down through two separate mechanisms, so these pairings deserve real vigilance.”
