Here's the thing to know about pairing masterwort with your sodium valproate (Epilim): this isn't about your seizure control or how your body breaks down the medicine. Valproate works just fine alongside masterwort in that respect. The concern is purely about your skin and sunlight.

Masterwort contains furanocoumarins, which can make your skin more likely to burn in the sun. Valproate itself can occasionally make skin more sun-sensitive too, so stacking the two together could add up to faster sunburn or a rash. I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not something widely reported. If you do use both, just be smart with sunscreen, hats, and shade, and check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.
