Here the concern isn't about how your body breaks down lofepramine, it's about your skin. Lofepramine, a tricyclic antidepressant, can itself make your skin more sensitive to sunlight in some people. Masterwort contains furanocoumarins, the same family of compounds that cause that effect. Put the two together and the worry is simply that the sun-sensitizing effects could stack up, so you might burn or develop a rash more easily than usual.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical caution based on how these compounds behave, not strong real-world data. Still, if you're using both, it's an easy one to manage. Wear sunscreen, cover up, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
