N,n-dmpea + Propranolol Hydrochloride
Propranolol Hydrochloride brand name: Hemangeol.
N,n-dmpea has a moderate interaction with Propranolol Hydrochloride. In vitro research shows that N,N-DMPEA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6).

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Propranolol Hydrochloride
Propranolol Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group N,n-dmpea interacts with.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear propranolol from your body. In a lab dish, N,N-DMPEA appears to block that enzyme strongly. If that same blocking happened in a person, propranolol could clear more slowly and build up, since it's an active drug (not a prodrug that needs switching on). That could mean a stronger beta-blocker effect than expected, like a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, tiredness, dizziness, or cold hands and feet.
I want to be honest, though: this is only lab and theory data, not proof from real people, and N,N-DMPEA itself is poorly studied. Still, propranolol is a serious medicine, and this version is often used in infants. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About N,n-dmpea
What is N,n-dmpea?
- Mood or energy support
- Pre-workout or stimulant effect
- Cognitive or focus support
N,N-DMPEA (N,N-dimethylphenethylamine) is a synthetic relative of phenethylamine sometimes marketed in stimulant or pre-workout supplements. There is very little reliable human research on its effects or safety, and it is not a well-established dietary ingredient, so it should be approached with real caution.
About Propranolol (Infantile Hemangioma)
What Is Propranolol (Infantile Hemangioma) Used For?
Brand name: Hemangeol
This intravenous (IV) form of propranolol is used in hospital settings to treat serious, life-threatening heart rhythm problems. It works on several types of abnormal rhythms, including those that happen during anesthesia or are caused by drug toxicity.
Specific uses include fast heart rhythms coming from the upper chambers of the heart (supraventricular tachycardia), dangerous rhythms caused by too much digitalis in the body, and certain fast rhythms triggered by excess stress hormones (catecholamines) during surgery.
