Here's the practical takeaway for gliclazide (Diamicron). This medicine lowers your blood sugar by nudging your body to release more insulin, so its main risk is dropping blood sugar too low (hypoglycemia), which can show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. Oolong tea isn't changing how your liver breaks gliclazide down. The only real wrinkle is its caffeine, which can push blood sugar slightly up or slightly down depending on the person.

Honestly, this is a minor and unlikely concern, and the evidence is weak. A cup or two of oolong with your day shouldn't throw off your control. Just keep your usual habits steady and check your levels as your doctor advised. If you notice odd swings, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.
