Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.

Here's the thing about pairing Sida cordifolia with Solriamfetol (Sunosi): both of them push your system in the same direction. Solriamfetol is a wakefulness drug that gently raises dopamine and norepinephrine, and on its own it can already nudge up your heart rate and blood pressure. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, which is a stimulant that does the very same thing.

Stack them together and those effects can add up. You might notice a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, headache, or trouble sleeping. This concern is based on how these stimulants work rather than hard human studies, so think of it as a sensible caution, not a proven danger. Still, because the heart risk is real, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Solriamfetol Used For?

Brand name: Sunosi

Sunosi (solriamfetol) is approved to improve wakefulness in adults who experience excessive daytime sleepiness caused by narcolepsy or obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Important: Sunosi does not treat the airway obstruction that causes OSA. If you have OSA, you must continue your existing treatment — such as CPAP (a breathing machine worn at night) — throughout your time on Sunosi. Sunosi is not a replacement for those therapies.
