Here's the gist with tree turmeric and levorphanol. Levorphanol is a strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down your brain and breathing. The berberine in tree turmeric has shown sedative-type effects in animal studies, so combining the two could, in theory, pile on more drowsiness, dizziness, slowed breathing, or that foggy, hard-to-wake feeling.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is based on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Berberine doesn't activate levorphanol, so we're just talking about overlapping sedation, not a change in how the drug is processed. Still, with a potent opioid on board, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding tree turmeric, and never adjust your pain medicine on your own.
