Enoxaparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Umckaloabo interacts with.

Theoretically, Pelargonium sidoides might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
Pelargonium sidoides contains coumarin, which may reduce platelet aggregation. However, in animal models, Pelargonium sidoides extract does not appear to inhibit coagulation or interact with warfarin. This interaction has not been documented in humans.

Here's the short version on combining Umckaloabo (the South African geranium extract) with your Lovenox (enoxaparin) injections. Enoxaparin is already a blood thinner, and Umckaloabo contains small amounts of coumarin-type plant compounds that might make platelets a little less sticky. Stacked together, the theory is they could nudge your bleeding risk up slightly. With a blood thinner, that would show up as things like easier bruising, longer bleeding from small cuts, nosebleeds, or pink/dark urine.

I want to be honest about the evidence, though: this is theoretical and rated minor and unlikely. In animal studies the extract didn't actually thin the blood, and it has never been reported as a problem in people. Still, because enoxaparin is a real anticoagulant, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding Umckaloabo, and watch for any unusual bleeding.

About Enoxaparin Injection

What Is Enoxaparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Lovenox

Enoxaparin injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the legs — in people having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement surgery, and in hospitalized patients who are largely immobile due to acute illness. It is also used to treat acute DVT, with or without a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs), both in the hospital and at home.

It is also used alongside aspirin to reduce dangerous complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack, and to treat acute STEMI (a severe type of heart attack involving full blockage of a coronary artery) in patients who receive clot-dissolving therapy or undergo a procedure to open the blocked artery (PCI).
