Here's the idea behind this pairing. Umckaloabo (Pelargonium sidoides) seems to give the immune system a little nudge to be more active, at least in lab studies. Fludrocortisone, while mostly used to help your body hold onto salt and keep blood pressure up (often in adrenal insufficiency or certain types of low blood pressure), is a corticosteroid that can also calm the immune system. So in theory, a supplement that revs the immune system up could work against a medicine meant to quiet it down.

I want to be honest about how shaky this is. This concern comes from test-tube research, not from real patients, so it's truly theoretical. Fludrocortisone isn't a prodrug, so the direction here is just possible reduced effect, not a buildup. Before adding Umckaloabo, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor.
