Here's the gist: Limbitrol DS combines amitriptyline (an older antidepressant) with chlordiazepoxide (a benzodiazepine for anxiety). Neither is a prodrug, so they work as-is once you take them. The concern with adrafinil is that your liver turns it into modafinil, and modafinil can gently slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2C19, which helps clear part of this medication. If that clearing slows, the drug could build up a bit and lead to more pronounced effects like daytime drowsiness, grogginess, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, or a faster heartbeat.

That said, this is a theoretical interaction based mostly on lab work, not real-world reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Here's the gist for Limbitrol, which combines amitriptyline (an antidepressant) with chlordiazepoxide (a benzodiazepine). Adrafinil is a precursor to modafinil, and modafinil may slightly speed up a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. Amitriptyline is partly handled by that enzyme, so in theory, nudging it faster could lower amitriptyline levels and make it work a little less well for mood or nerve pain.

I'll be honest though: this is theoretical, based on lab data showing only weak enzyme activity, so it may not amount to much in real life. The bigger practical concern is that modafinil is a stimulant while chlordiazepoxide is a sedative, which can pull against each other. Please run this combo by your doctor or pharmacist first.
