Here's the practical angle for Fiorinal with Codeine. This combo pill packs several ingredients, but the one that really overlaps with adrafinil is the caffeine. Caffeine is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, and lab studies hint that modafinil (what your body makes adrafinil into) may speed that enzyme up a bit. In theory, that could clear caffeine a little faster and blunt its pick-me-up effect.

I want to keep this in perspective. This is a theoretical concern based on test-tube data, not real-world reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger picture is that both adrafinil and the caffeine here are stimulating, so stacking them could leave you jittery, anxious, or unable to sleep. Please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Here's the gist with Fiorinal with Codeine (a combo of aspirin, butalbital, caffeine, and codeine). Once your liver converts adrafinil into modafinil, modafinil can mildly speed up an enzyme called CYP3A4. A few pieces of this combo lean on that enzyme, so in theory you might clear them a touch faster. That could make the butalbital (the barbiturate that relaxes and eases tension headaches) feel a little weaker, and it may nudge codeine's metabolism around too.

Honestly, this is theoretical and based on pharmacology, not strong real-world reports. It's also a moderate, only-possible concern. Still, mixing a stimulant with a sedative-and-opioid product is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Here's the piece that matters with this combination: Fiorinal with Codeine contains caffeine as one of its ingredients. Adrafinil turns into modafinil in your liver, and modafinil is a wakefulness-promoting stimulant. So you'd essentially be stacking the caffeine in this medication on top of a stimulant effect from the supplement.

This is a theoretical concern based on how these substances work, not something proven in studies, so I don't want to overstate it. Still, the additive stimulation could leave you feeling jittery, anxious, racing-hearted, or unable to sleep, and possibly raise your blood pressure a bit. Keep in mind the butalbital and codeine in this pill are sedating, so you may also feel a tug-of-war between sleepy and wired. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these.
