Buprenorphine/Naloxone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Adrafinil interacts with.

Theoretically, adrafanil might reduce levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to weakly induce CYP3A4 activity.

Here's the key thing with this pair: your body turns adrafinil into modafinil, and modafinil can mildly speed up an enzyme in your liver called CYP3A4. That same enzyme helps break down the buprenorphine in your Suboxone. So in theory, taking adrafinil could nudge your body to clear buprenorphine a little faster, which might make it work less well.

For someone on Suboxone, weaker buprenorphine effects could mean returning cravings or early withdrawal feelings like restlessness, achiness, or sweating. I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical concern based on how the drugs work, not strong real-world data, and modafinil is only a weak enzyme booster. Still, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining these.
