Theoretically, adrafinil might reduce the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to increase diastolic and systolic blood pressure. Retrospective analyses show that patients taking modafinil had a small but increased rate of requiring new antihypertensive drugs or increased use of antihypertensive drugs when compared with placebo.

Here's the gist for you. Once your body turns adrafinil into modafinil, that stimulant tends to nudge blood pressure up a little, both the top and bottom numbers. Timolol is a beta blocker you may be taking to keep blood pressure down, slow your heart rate, or prevent migraines. So adrafinil could partly work against what timolol is doing, meaning your readings might creep higher than you'd like.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these drugs behave, not strong proof, and any effect appears small. Still, since adrafinil is unregulated and hard on the liver, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them. If you ever do, keep an eye on your blood pressure at home.

About Timolol

What Is Timolol Used For?

Brand names: Blocadren, Timol, Timoptic

Timolol is available in ophthalmic (eye) forms and as an oral tablet, and each form has its own approved uses. Ophthalmic formulations — including Betimol, Istalol, Timolol GFS, Timolol hemihydrate, Timolol Maleate eye drops, and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution — are used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye) in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Timolol Maleate tablets are used orally for three separate conditions: treating high blood pressure (alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines), reducing the risk of death and repeat heart attack in people who have survived a heart attack and are clinically stable, and preventing migraine headaches.
