Here's the short version: Trimethaphan is a powerful blood pressure lowering drug given by IV, usually in a hospital to bring down dangerously high blood pressure or control it during surgery. Andrographis, in animal studies, seems to nudge blood pressure down on its own. Stack the two together and, at least in theory, you could get a bigger drop in blood pressure than expected.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, faint, or weak, especially when sitting up or standing. I'll be honest though, this concern comes from lab and animal research, not real patient cases, so it's more caution than alarm. Also, since Trimethaphan is given in a closely monitored hospital setting, your care team is already watching your blood pressure carefully. Still, tell them about any supplement you take.
