Chromium + Dulaglutide
Dulaglutide brand name: Trulicity.
Chromium has a moderate interaction with Dulaglutide. Theoretically, chromium may have additive effects with antidiabetic agents and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Dulaglutide
Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chromium interacts with.
Some research shows that taking chromium might lower blood glucose levels, especially in patients with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: both Trulicity (dulaglutide) and chromium can nudge your blood sugar downward. They work in different ways. Trulicity is a once-weekly injection that helps your body release insulin when sugar is high and slows how fast your stomach empties. Chromium may help your own insulin work a little better. Stack the two and the lowering effects can add up.
This isn't about chromium changing how Trulicity is broken down. It's just two blood-sugar-lowering helpers working together, which could push you a bit low. Watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling hungry or confused. The risk is modest and bigger if your sugars were already running well. Please don't start, stop, or change anything on your own. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor first.

- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.

These are real questions from readers, answered by the pharmacists at HelloPharmacist — written by a person, not generated from a database. Each one covers Chromium or Dulaglutide, not necessarily both, but if one is close to what you were about to ask it will usually go further than a database entry can:

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dulaglutide page
“Because dulaglutide (Trulicity) already lowers blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes, nearly every entry on this page deserves genuine respect, and one demands it outright. Almost all of these supplements pull glucose in one direction or the other, so the danger that matters most is hypoglycemia, blood sugar dropping too low.”

About Chromium
What is Chromium?
- Blood sugar support in type 2 diabetes
- Weight loss and appetite control
- Insulin sensitivity
- Cholesterol and lipid support
- General nutritional supplement
Chromium is an essential trace mineral involved in how the body handles sugar and fat. Some studies suggest it may modestly help blood sugar control in certain people with type 2 diabetes, but results are mixed and the effect on weight loss is small and uncertain. For most healthy people who eat a varied diet, supplements are not needed; check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting.
About Dulaglutide Injection
What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?
Brand name: Trulicity
Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.
Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.

Dulaglutide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Dulaglutide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Chromium — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
