Coffee + Enoxaparin
Enoxaparin brand name: Lovenox.
Coffee has a moderate interaction with Enoxaparin. Theoretically, coffee may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Enoxaparin
Enoxaparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Coffee interacts with.
Coffee contains caffeine. Caffeine is reported to have antiplatelet activity. Theoretically, the caffeine in coffee might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with these agents. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans. There is some evidence that caffeinated coffee might increase the fibrinolytic activity in blood.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Enoxaparin (Lovenox) is a blood thinner you inject to keep dangerous clots from forming. The concern here is pretty mild: the caffeine in coffee may have a slight blood-thinning, anti-platelet effect of its own, so in theory stacking it on top of Lovenox could nudge your bleeding risk up a touch. Worth knowing, this is based only on lab and test-tube findings, and it has never actually been seen in real patients.
For most people, a normal cup or two of coffee isn't going to be a problem alongside enoxaparin. Just keep an eye out for the usual warning signs of too much thinning: easy bruising, bleeding gums, nosebleeds, pink or red urine, or dark stools. If you notice any of that, or you drink a lot of coffee, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes.

About Coffee
What is Coffee?
- Alertness and reducing fatigue
- Mental focus and concentration
- Athletic performance
- Headache relief
- Weight management
Coffee is a widely consumed beverage made from roasted coffee beans, valued mainly for its caffeine, which boosts alertness and energy. For most healthy adults, moderate coffee intake is generally safe and may have some health benefits, but too much can cause jitteriness, poor sleep, and a faster heartbeat. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or sensitive to caffeine should limit their intake and check with a doctor or pharmacist.
About Enoxaparin Injection
What Is Enoxaparin Injection Used For?
Brand name: Lovenox
Enoxaparin injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the legs — in people having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement surgery, and in hospitalized patients who are largely immobile due to acute illness. It is also used to treat acute DVT, with or without a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs), both in the hospital and at home.
It is also used alongside aspirin to reduce dangerous complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack, and to treat acute STEMI (a severe type of heart attack involving full blockage of a coronary artery) in patients who receive clot-dissolving therapy or undergo a procedure to open the blocked artery (PCI).

Enoxaparin Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Enoxaparin as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Coffee — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
