ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Liraglutide Recombinant
Liraglutide Recombinant falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Coffee interacts with.
Coffee contains caffeine. Reports claim that caffeine might increase or decrease blood sugar levels.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the short version: liraglutide (Saxenda or Victoza) is an injectable medicine that lowers blood sugar, and it isn't broken down by the liver enzymes that coffee touches. So your morning cup doesn't really change how the drug itself works in your body. Liraglutide isn't a prodrug either, so there's no activation step for caffeine to interfere with.
The only loose connection is that caffeine itself can nudge blood sugar slightly up or down in some people, which could theoretically make your glucose readings a little less predictable. This is weak, low-quality evidence and unlikely to cause trouble for most folks. If you notice unusual highs, lows, or extra nausea, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor rather than changing anything on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Liraglutide Recombinant page
“If you take liraglutide (Saxenda), handle this page with real care, because all 239 ingredients on it act on the same thing the drug does, your blood sugar. The one major entry, Siberian cocklebur, has caused severe hypoglycemia, dangerously low blood sugar, in people and should never be combined with a glucose-lowering medicine.”
