ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Dulaglutide
Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Coffee interacts with.
Coffee contains caffeine. Reports claim that caffeine might increase or decrease blood sugar levels.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the good news: your morning cup of coffee and your weekly Trulicity (dulaglutide) shot don't really clash. Dulaglutide is an injectable medicine that mimics a natural gut hormone (GLP-1) to lower blood sugar, and it isn't processed by the liver enzymes that caffeine touches. So coffee won't make the drug build up or wear off.
The only thing worth knowing is theoretical and weakly supported: caffeine itself can nudge blood sugar slightly up or down in some people, which could make your numbers a little less predictable. This is rated minor and unlikely. If you notice odd readings, just keep your coffee habit steady and mention it to your pharmacist or doctor rather than changing anything on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dulaglutide page
“Because dulaglutide (Trulicity) already lowers blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes, nearly every entry on this page deserves genuine respect, and one demands it outright. Almost all of these supplements pull glucose in one direction or the other, so the danger that matters most is hypoglycemia, blood sugar dropping too low.”

About Coffee
What is Coffee?
- Alertness and reducing fatigue
- Mental focus and concentration
- Athletic performance
- Headache relief
- Weight management
Coffee is a widely consumed beverage made from roasted coffee beans, valued mainly for its caffeine, which boosts alertness and energy. For most healthy adults, moderate coffee intake is generally safe and may have some health benefits, but too much can cause jitteriness, poor sleep, and a faster heartbeat. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or sensitive to caffeine should limit their intake and check with a doctor or pharmacist.

Dulaglutide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Dulaglutide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Coffee — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
