Nateglinide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jackfruit interacts with.

Theoretically, jackfruit might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Small clinical studies show that jackfruit flour and leaf extract can reduce fasting and postprandial blood glucose. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Here's the gist with nateglinide (Starlix): this medication already lowers your blood sugar by nudging your pancreas to release more insulin around meals. Some small studies hint that concentrated jackfruit products, like jackfruit flour or leaf extract, may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of their own. Stack those two together and, in theory, your sugar could dip a little lower than expected.

If that happens, you might feel the usual signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia): shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or feeling foggy. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on how things work, not strong human proof. Enjoying jackfruit as a regular food is very unlikely to be a problem. If you use concentrated jackfruit supplements, check your sugars more closely and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Nateglinide tablets are used to help improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is always used together with diet and exercise — not as a replacement for them.

Nateglinide is not for type 1 diabetes, and it is not used to treat diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious complication where the blood becomes dangerously acidic).
