If you take Stalevo (carbidopa, levodopa, entacapone) for Parkinson's disease and you're thinking about melatonin for sleep, here's the honest picture. This is a theoretical concern based on how these medicines behave, not something proven for your exact drug. Some medications can slightly lower the seizure threshold, and there's limited evidence that melatonin might increase seizure frequency in certain people, mainly children with neurological problems. So in theory, combining them could nudge that risk up a bit.

For most adults taking Stalevo, this is a low-level worry, and seizures are not a common issue with this medication. Still, since Parkinson's affects the brain, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before starting melatonin, especially if you have any history of seizures.
