Lisdexamfetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group N,n-dmpea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that N,N-DMPEA strongly inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6). Theoretically, concomitant use with drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 might increase the risk for adverse effects from these drugs.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the thing about combining these two: both are stimulants, and that's really the main concern. N,N-DMPEA is a phenethylamine cousin that may have its own mild stimulant action, and Vyvanse already revs up your dopamine and norepinephrine. Stacking them could pile on side effects like a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and anxiety.

There's also a lab-only signal that N,N-DMPEA blocks the CYP2D6 enzyme, which plays a part in clearing amphetamine. In theory that could let levels of Vyvanse's active form drift higher and intensify its effects. But this is only test-tube data, not human studies, and N,N-DMPEA itself is poorly researched. Given the overlapping stimulant punch, please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Lisdexamfetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and children age 6 and older. It is also approved to treat moderate to severe binge eating disorder (BED) in adults.

It is not approved or recommended for weight loss, and its safety and effectiveness for treating obesity have not been established. It is not recommended in children under 6 years old.
