Dextroamphetamine (patch) falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Schizonepeta interacts with.

Animal research suggests that schizonepetin, a monoterpene constituent of schizonepeta, inhibits cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2D6. Theoretically, schizonepeta might increase the effects and side effects of CYP2D6 substrates.
Some substrates of CYP2D6 include amitriptyline (Elavil), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), flecainide (Tambocor), haloperidol (Haldol), imipramine (Tofranil), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), ondansetron (Zofran), paroxetine (Paxil), risperidone (Risperdal), tramadol (Ultram), venlafaxine (Effexor), and others.

Here's the situation with your Xelstrym patch and Schizonepeta. Your body partly relies on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break down dextroamphetamine. In lab and animal studies, a compound in Schizonepeta appears to slow that enzyme down. In theory, if that enzyme works slower, more of the stimulant could linger in your system, which might nudge up both the effects and the side effects you feel.

With a stimulant like this, that could mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or a poor appetite. I'll be honest though, this is based only on animal research, not people, so it stays theoretical for now. Occasional culinary or tea use is far less concerning than concentrated extracts. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
