STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine
Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine, Chlorpheniramine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Sida Cordifolia interacts with.
Sida cordifolia contains ephedrine. Drugs with CNS stimulant properties, such as phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, and diethylpropion, and many others can increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects when taken with ephedrine.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here is the key thing with this combo. Your Zutripro already contains pseudoephedrine, which is a stimulant that bumps up your heart rate and blood pressure. Sida cordifolia naturally contains ephedrine, another stimulant that does the very same thing. Stack two stimulants together and you can be doubling down on those effects, so the worry is racing heart, palpitations, jittery feeling, headache, and a real spike in blood pressure.
I'll be honest, this concern is based on how these ingredients work rather than firm human studies, so it's more theoretical than proven. Still, with the heart and blood pressure on the line, I'd play it safe. Please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you have any heart issues or high blood pressure.

About Sida Cordifolia
What is Sida Cordifolia?
- Weight loss and energy
- Asthma and breathing problems
- Joint and muscle pain
- Fever and cough
- General fatigue or 'tonic'
Sida cordifolia (bala or country mallow) is a traditional Ayurvedic plant that naturally contains ephedrine, a powerful stimulant. Because of this, many supplements containing it have been banned or restricted, and it carries real risks to the heart and blood pressure. There is little reliable human evidence that it works, so most people should avoid it and talk with a pharmacist or doctor first.
