Chronic use of aspirin might increase the levels and clinical effects of tianeptine.
Aspirin is converted to salicylic acid in the body. In vitro research shows that salicylic acid binds to the same protein sites as tianeptine, displacing protein-bound tianeptine and leading to higher levels of tianeptine in the blood.

This combo product contains aspirin, two antacids, and codeine. The piece that matters here is the aspirin. When you take aspirin regularly, your body turns it into salicylic acid, and lab studies suggest that salicylic acid can crowd tianeptine off the blood proteins it normally clings to. That can leave more free tianeptine floating around, which may boost its effects and side effects.

Keep in mind this is only test-tube data, so we don't truly know how much it matters in real life. Still, tianeptine at higher doses behaves like an opioid, and so does the codeine in this product. Stacking them could deepen drowsiness, slowed breathing, and dependence. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor first, especially given how risky over-the-counter tianeptine is.
