Lasmiditan Succinate falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Tianeptine interacts with.

Higher doses of tianeptine have opioid like effects and may have additive effects with other sedative drugs. In one case report, a 42-year-old male presented with respiratory depression and aspiration pneumonia due to concomitant use of high-dose tianeptine and alprazolam.

Here's the simple version: Reyvow (lasmiditan) already makes a lot of people feel drowsy, dizzy, or tired, and it can slow your thinking and reaction time. Tianeptine, especially at the high doses found in many over-the-counter or gas station products, can act like an opioid and pile sedation on top of that. Combining the two could leave you very sleepy, foggy, unsteady on your feet, or, in a worst case, with slowed breathing.

This concern is based on how these drugs behave rather than on solid studies with lasmiditan specifically, so think of it as a sensible caution, not a proven danger. Lasmiditan is not a prodrug, so this is simply two sedating things adding up. Because unregulated tianeptine carries real risks of its own, please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing them, and don't drive until you know how you feel.

Brand name: Reyvow

Reyvow (lasmiditan) is used to treat migraine attacks in adults, whether or not the migraine comes with an aura (visual or sensory symptoms that can appear before or during the headache). It is taken when a migraine starts — not used daily to prevent migraines from happening.

Reyvow is not intended for preventive (daily) migraine therapy. It is meant to stop an attack that has already begun.
